Privacy
Dayhop for iPhone and Android. Last updated 10 October 2026.
Dayhop is a trip planner. It collects as little as it can to plan, sync and share your trips, it doesn't show ads, and it doesn't track you or sell anything about you.
Without an account
Your trips stay on your phone. Nothing about them leaves it, apart from the map and place searches described below.
With an account
Signing in (with Apple, or with your email address) lets Dayhop sync your trips between your devices and share them with others. Dayhop then stores:
- your email address, and a name to show people you share trips with;
- your trips: their names, dates, stops, places, notes, hotels and who they're shared with.
This is kept with Supabase, which hosts Dayhop's database. A trip is visible only to you and the people you invite to it. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Dayhop only sees Apple's relay address.
Maps and place search
Maps come from Google Maps. When you search for a place or Dayhop works out travel times, the search text and the places involved are sent to Google (Google Places and Routes) or, on some builds, Apple Maps. These requests aren't linked to your account. Google's use of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Location
Dayhop doesn't ask for or use your location. Places you search for and add to a trip are stored with the trip, as described above.
What Dayhop doesn't do
- No advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
- No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers or advertisers.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Settings, then your account, then Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, the trips you own and your place on trips others shared with you. Trips that only live on your phone are removed when you delete them or the app.
Children
Dayhop isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes and contact
